StatusGuard is a local-first iPhone app for organizing visa, status, and important document dates. This policy explains how StatusGuard handles information.

Data Stored in the App

StatusGuard lets you enter document names, document types, holders, countries or regions, identifier hints, notes, key dates, reminder rules, and optional photo attachments. This data is stored locally on your device by default.

No StatusGuard Account

StatusGuard does not require you to create a StatusGuard account. The app does not operate a user login system for the v1.0 local-first app experience.

No Developer Server Upload by Default

StatusGuard does not upload your documents, photos, dates, or notes to a StatusGuard developer server by default. If you choose to export a checklist or backup file, that exported file is handled by iOS share and file workflows that you control.

Photo Attachments

If you choose to add photos from your camera or photo library, the selected images are saved inside the app sandbox. StatusGuard does not use these photos for analytics, advertising, or model training.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, StatusGuard schedules local iOS notifications on your device. Notification permission is managed by iOS. Reminder content may include document titles or date names that you entered.

Purchases

StatusGuard Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. StatusGuard does not collect or store your payment card information. The app checks Apple purchase entitlement information to determine whether Pro is active.

Backups and Exports

StatusGuard can export PDF or CSV checklists and local backup files. These files may contain sensitive personal information. Keep exported files private and share them only with people or services you trust.

Analytics and Advertising

StatusGuard v1.0 does not include third-party advertising SDKs. It is intended to operate without collecting app usage analytics for developer servers.

Children

StatusGuard is not directed to children under 13. Do not use StatusGuard to knowingly collect or store information about a child unless you have the legal right to do so.

Legal and Professional Advice

StatusGuard helps you organize dates and reminders. It does not provide legal, immigration, tax, or professional advice. Always verify deadlines and requirements with official sources, your school, employer, attorney, DSO, HR team, or another qualified professional.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as StatusGuard changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
